Apachie is the beautiful black mustang mare belonging to Kara Bump. The mare is BLM branded and from Utah.  Kara isnt sure which HMA the mare is from or what her mustang's early life was like. Kara would like to know. Apachie came to Kara started and Kara rode the mare for 7 years as a barrel racing horse. According to Kara the pair won many buckles and trophies in competition. Another unique feature of Apachie is that she is gaited like a Paso Fino.

Mustang A Day Challenge Painting # 308 Amy Flood's Mustang Sorocca

Amy Flood's Sorocca
5 by 7 inches Watercolor
by LindaLMartin Artist
$65.00

In Amy's own words:
"Sorocca is an 8 yr old, 14.3h mustang mare originally from the Salt Wells HMA in Wyoming. She was returned by her original adopter for being "too wild", and was ultimately neglected by her second owner. When a friend of mine took her in last winter, she was in poor shape and quite underweight (after a couple months of good food and care however she is now thriving!) Sorocca is something of a diva - but she never fails to make me laugh. I am looking forward to many happy years with this beautiful girl!"

Amy Flood is a professional photographer who documents wild horses in Virginia and North Carolina. She is also a mustang owner. You can read about some of her adventures on her facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/graysonhighlandsponies

You can also read about Sorocca's life from her own personal Facebook page:

Mustang A Day Challenge Painting # 307 Amy Flood's Mustang Cody Nevada Wild Horse Range, Nevada

"Amy Flood's Cody"
5 by 7 inches Watercolor
by Linda L Martin Artist
$65.00

In Amy's own words:
"14.1h 17 y/o BLM mustang from the NWHR (Nevada Wild Horse Range) in Nevada. He and Skylar have been together their whole lives...since being gathered in 1998. When I got Cody he was green broke, but had a few issues. He would pull back when tied, balk and rear when being ridden away from home and refuse to move out any faster than a trot. He also could be somewhat aggressive at times - he was a bully in the pasture and would pin his ears and swing his butt towards select people. I don't claim to be a trainer by any means but I have spent a lot of time working with him ...he now respects me (and most other people) as his leader (no more naughty ears), has given up rearing, and ties quite well. I have spent the last couple months riding him regularly and I am incredibly proud of how far he has come!
"

Amy Flood is a mom, a mustang adopter and a wild horse photographer who spends every spare moment documenting wild island horses on the coast of North Carolina and the wild Grayson Highland ponies in Virginia.
