Hi Linda... while I like your work, is any of it original? Everything I have been able to find seems to be a copy of other's photos or artwork. Or am I missing something, and this is your intent?
Also, I'm always interested in assisting with equines... what is the funding path from purchase of your work to benefit of these wild animals, exactly? I'd love to help, just want to better understand where my investment is going and exactly how it is being spent to help them. Many, many thanks!!!
Lisa, thank you for taking the time to read the blog and comment.
Yes I think you might have missed the point of this exercise. So I will try to help you the best I can.
The Mustang A Day Challenge is a personal painting challenge in which I collaborate with wild horse photographers all over the United States of America to put a name to a face of a living wild horse every day, 5 days a week for a year and tell its story when possible.
Every one of these paintings is my unique and original interpretation of the photographer's image to help bring to light as many Mustang Stories as possible. I do not plagiarize the work of other artists and believe me, I have enough good inspiration and ideas of my own that I don't need to.
I just updated the information and purposes of the challenge on the Mustang A Day Challenge News Blog with some additional changes imposed by new IRS Law as to what and how much a sole-proprietorship such as my self as an independent artist and writer may give and be allowed to be considered a business.
Also included is background information on the project and the goals and who it helps. I think it will answer most of your questions. Here is the link:
