Bonita is a wonderful Blue eyed gray pinto mare in Cherokee's Band at Sand Wash Basin. Her 2013 foal is the color of Cherokee now but will probably turn the color of her dam as time passes.  The Reference image for this painting is from Photographer and Sand Wash Basin Wild Horse Advocate Sally Wright.
